Project Summary

This project documents the transformation of the CA3D Cyclops from a raw resin print into a finished collectible statue. The main focus of the project is recreating the cinematic atmosphere of the original concept through subtle color work, controlled lighting, and realistic material textures.

What makes this piece especially interesting to me is the heavily desaturated palette combined with the intense glow of the visor, which acts as the central light source of the entire composition. Achieving that balance while preserving the dark and moody “library” atmosphere is one of the core artistic challenges of the project.

Throughout this process, I will focus on preparation, assembly, painting, lighting effects, texture separation, and final presentation in order to bring the concept to life as a believable high-end collectible statue.

Off Topic!

Hi everyone, hi community!

A little off topic today. Yesterday, my Gaahleri Aventus The Stallions Limited Edition set and the Turbo X Mini Compressor arrived. I picked them up to set up a second workspace in my “gaming room.”

I just finished testing both the airbrushes and the compressor, and I’m genuinely impressed. The airbrushes exceeded my expectations—especially for the price. The value for money is absolutely outstanding.

Of course, the Turbo X Mini isn’t comparable to my GTX-778, but that’s not what it’s meant to be. For its size and purpose, it performs brilliantly and is a really cool little compressor.

See you all on Sunday with the next project update. Until then, take care and… peace out! ✌️

“Second workspace in the gaming room” sounds suspiciously like the hobby is getting completely out of control. 😂 Love it! That little compressor actually looks pretty damn cool.
