Well yes still working on sanding the never ending sanding…. We did get some pieces ready for primer…. We need more parts before we prime…. I mean I have nothing exciting to show…. A few more weeks we should have something…..

Since the last update I tried my hand at streaming by build sessions on Youtube. It was an interesting experience and I had fun doing it. I had 1 whole viewer...I think, I'm still trying to figure it all out. But I did get a lot of practice talking to myself! I got the snap build done! Now it's time to figure out how we're customizing this Psycho. The next steps will be fun!

I couldn't wait, so I kept going. Found some bits and other scrap that I thought would be suitable. I do believe some of it was illicit though, because the inspector showed up and tried to confiscate some of it. I won in the end, but i did have to cut it up. Anyways, some leftover kit parts, a Wifi chip, some PLA filament and one workplace accident later, a lot of the details are in place. Still have some more tiles and things to add, but I'm getting itchy to start painting. The whole thing has turned out a bit taller than I imagined, but I do believe i can fix that with poses and angles later on so I'm not worried by it.

In this project, I’m creating a dynamic ground explosion impact effect base stand using a simple combination of cork board and glue. The cork board serves as the foundation, allowing me to carve, tear, and shape the terrain to simulate cracked earth caused by a powerful impact. Layers of glue are then applied to strengthen the structure and help create realistic textures, debris, and blast patterns. The goal is to capture the moment of impact, with shattered ground radiating outward from the center to enhance the action and shelf presence of the model. After shaping and detailing the base, the next stages will include painting, weathering, and adding effects such as dust, rubble, and energy bursts to bring the scene to life.

So I wanted to try a watercolour background for this build. This is my first time drawing in perspective a colouring in watercolours.

Primed with Gaahleri Aventus airbush with 0.2 mm nozzle. Spray thinly and close to preserve excellent details.
