🇬🇧 English A bit of painting this week... For the metal roof, I started with cardboard and then applied matte black primer, metallic gray, a rust effect, and a few touches of moss. I used the same painting process for the gutter and the little bell. I also primed the puppy and the industrial barrel with black primer. I 3D printed both of them using resin. Now I'm waiting for some materials I ordered to arrive. 📦 See you next time, bye!!

The beautiful hidden world

This update marks the beginning of constructing the concert environment itself.

The stage structure is now taking shape using components recovered from discarded laptops and electronic devices. We all use technology every day, yet very few people ever see the remarkable world hidden beneath its surface. By dismantling these machines, I discovered an intricate landscape of forms, textures, and mechanical beauty that became the foundation of this miniature stage.

At this stage, the background elements are still in their raw condition. Weathering, rust effects, and final color treatment have not yet been applied. The current focus is on studying the composition, lighting, and overall atmosphere before moving into the final finishing process.

Little by little, the world surrounding the orchestra is becoming as important as the performers themselves.

Week 10 - into the greens!

This week was week of greens! I think I painted all greens that Firefly has :D

Most difficult part - that pattern with yellow “eyes” - need some more work as I failed to mask it properly, liquid mask was not a good idea T__T Edges are not sharp and clean..let’s see what I can do here.

But! I did her hands! All because of that small green inserts on her sleeves :D happiii! Also painted skin tone on her face, together with hands.

Slowly approaching 50% completion mark…

Next week will be the week of mahogany and gold! Stay tuned :3

Upd 8 - Basilique

Took a pause with forum because it has some complicated building on it and moved forward to nearby basilique which is simpler and more interesting in work, also it is two stage building

Pivoting the project

After spending time assessing the diorama I have concluded that SD Guntank is too big for it. The landscape needs room to breathe. Therefore I am swapping Guntank with SD gerwalk. I have edited the details of my profile to reflect this change. If I have time I also want to include a mini sd gundam partner, but eliminate the picnic theme and simply the presentation.

Enhanced center console

Week 4 This week I completed the center console. Just like during my previous build, I couldn't find a complete reference photo of the original console. Once again, I had to improvise. I based the design on the center console of a late-1980s Chevrolet pickup, which was the closest reference I could find. The console includes two cup holders and a storage compartment behind them. In an ordinary pickup, it would be used for everyday items... in this vehicle, it would probably be the perfect place to store a small automatic weapon! 😄 I also chose to finish these parts in a light color so that the details would remain clearly visible in the photos. The gear shifter was made from wood, and I'm very pleased with the result. It has much more detail than the one I made for my previous version of this model. **Materials used this week:** - Black spray paint - Silver paint marker - Wood - Matchstick - 0.5 mm wire - Cardboard - Super glue - Hot glue

Texture details

I’m using a micron ink pen to finalize the texture work on the trunk. I did some tests with brush work and layered cardboard or even pinecones stamped with paint, but the pen work looks best.
