Now I have completed the challenge, I've gained some new skills (particularly with a soldering Iron!)
The Ferrari P3 is one of my all time favorite cars, so beautiful and Like the E-type way ahead of its time.
Its presented some difficulties along the way and I enjoyed solving them, not least of which no part in the model are numbered and you literally have to photo and blow up the instructions then sift through all the parts to find them.
It has been very enjoyable and I hope it has given some pleasure to those following as their achievement have given me.
Enjoy your modelling :-)

You really get to know a car when you start building detailed models.
Always amazes me that these then, state of the art machines from Ferrari held the incredibly long exhaust pipes in part with leather straps to absorb the vibration!
Than and rubber bungies to hold the obligatory spare wheel in place and to also hold the back cover in place.

The most difficult part of the build alonf with the windscreen is the perspex headlight covers, what you see is the final result of a days work paring them down to fit as they are cut from a sheet of plastic.
They then need dirlling to fit micro rivets to hold them in place as per original car.
That along with 72 rivits of various sizes...........glad thats over!!!!

Hiro only give you soft clear plastic to make the screen and by the looks of things the headlights as well. Takes forever just a little trimmed at a time!!!

I always get a kick out of Lush positive colours. This is Ferrari Rosso Corsa.
I will use two colour coats then a couple of fine clear Lacquer coats
