Interior done. I've added some cables, photoetched electronic boxes, fabric seatbelts etc. Car is ready for final assembly 😄

Body is almost done. Windows glued in, front and rear lights done, chrome decals on grille set, radiator on place. Only few small pieces to install (antenna, mercedes logos, front bumper canards, exhaust pipes), but it will wait until final assembly. Now it's time to work on interior

Rear diffuser on the bench. I've cut out the fins and replaced them with photoetched parts. Original parts were good but photoetched fins have better thickness, more to the scale, and it was easier to cut and apply carbon decals when i had separate parts.

Using a mini grinder and sandpaper i've sanded tires a bit to make them look like worn out. Added 3d printed air valves for extra detail

Some DIY on suspension, i recreated front and rear suspension based on real car photos, also brakes are painted to look like race used, not brand new.

After a little bit of sanding to get rid of any dust particles on gloss clear coat, i've applied finishing clear coat using mix of Mr.Hobby GX113 and GX112 in 5:1 ratio to give a smooth flat and little satin like finish, i think results are close enough to a real car. Body is almost done, next i need to do chrome decals on front grille, headlights, rear lights and of course windows.

In this step i have painted model with automotive gloss 2k clear to get rid of the "steps" on the surface between decals and base paint. I will sand it a little to make surface even, then in the next step i will paint whole body with finishing coat of flat clear, just like the real car.
