Zaku Warrior Live Concert: Parts Kept Breaking So The Project Had To Change
Previously, my inexperience made me realize that I could not panel line & do detail work since it was assembled & thickly painted & top coated & the side skirt broke at the hinge (now fixed)
Then the other day, I tried turning her hand & it twisted off at the wrist. I was ready to call it quits & withdraw my entry.
Then after chatting with a friend that was a builder & contest winner, I came up with a new twist on the Zaku Warriror Live Concert theme. I'll update on a later post. Everything in order.
So I ended up ditching the idea of her holding the Gun & went with the idea that the hand is a Flame Thrower.
The title of my piece will be called:
"Love & Warning Signs, You Are Not Safe"
It is a very Rau LeCreuset plot theme, you'll understand it more later. You might be asking yourself, why doesn't she have the iconic "Lacus Clyne Alive" sticker on her shield. Why is she wearing the assault backpack? What's up with the scowl ? What's up with the Zaku markings? What's up with the LOVE Gun? What's up with the last picture? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!??? are you running or are you going to watch the Live Concert? Do you recognize the warning signs?
For now, here are update pictures:

@garagedeplamodel thanks. It's a very Rau LeCreuset plan lol. I like to have a story for my work, it really helps things flow out & you build onto it.

Looking forward to them!

I can totally relate. I have had similar issues due to the use of mineral spirits as solvents for the oil paints for washes. Excellent change of plans even if driven by necessity!

@antampatz Thanks. A big mistake I didn't realize was that painting the entire kit, including the inner frame will make things very difficult to pose, especially if the kit remains static for a while. I shot a few update videos that I will be uploading shortly.
