the last post - final submission.
And this is the list of things that i do for the first time doing this project, or have problem with before:
- Using 3 different products to achieve the moss effect
- Using resin water for the first time, and Water Gel Transparent from AK on top to achieve this fllowing effect
- painting texture like wood on the flat surface (i had problem with this earlier)
- Make different soil textures and different levels (river bed, and small hills)
- Working with (counting from the bottom) with polystyrene (trimming it, cutting it); clay; milliput; building/modeling trees and their roots yourself and giving them the texture of the shoulder
- Creating tree crowns from sponges covered with paints and crushed in food processor, and painting an airbrush (for the final shading effect)
- Using a special product (Spider Pro from AK) to achieve a spider web effect (It could have gone much better here)
- using various types of green grass and flowers to achieve a forest effect and create variety
Honestly, I think 80% of all this diorama "things to do" was that things I was doing for the first timeo. And it was great!😊

this project cannot exist without this little dark and mysterious climate. So snake, spider, trees, Squirrel, Tombstones and Of course Treelord are glowing in the dark - it was a mast have here. but, i didn’t want met this creatures in forest. 😅

The last week was sooo crazy.
Doing this project i new that most og these things will be new for be. but i didn’t expected that i learn so much about diorama, water resin or That I will correct the mistakes that I caused myself (And there were a few of them). 😅 but here we are, with my totaly first diorama.
Only I know how many times I wanted to throw it in the trash and leave this project. So in this whole journey I am proud that I just survived and did it the best I could, according to the knowledge and skills I had at that moment. 🙌
Thanks to this project, I broke down to doing new things and testing. (Because if it brakes something, if can be fixed, right?). :) In the final update, I will write down the things that I did for the first time and that I learned. Spoiler: so far I have only painted my husband's space marines and made totally basic stands.

I saw that my last update from the 31th august is not here (It was removed by hacking the page, i guess). It happens. :)
So I'm sharing it again today - what I uploaded on August 31.
In that moment i was at the stage: finishing my Treelord, and more time spending on learning about resin (because i never use resin in my life). So i had to first find some films on youtube to see how to use it, how to preapare and what to avoid, And how to minimize the risk of leaking and the other mistakes. And i really hope that i doesn't ruin it and mess up. 😅 Also i’m adding little more natural materials like sand, coconut fiber, or little rocks to get more depth in the ground (in the forest and also in the river).

Last week was all about:
- smoothing the edges of the entire diorama with putty and sandpaper
- painting the river, and pouring the resin.
Today it should be completely dry, and I'm starting the final touches.
final update soon. 🫡

The next stage of trees.
i painted this little pieces of sponge (crushed in food processor) - just added little water and three diferent shades of green paint. I mixed with my hand, and now i’m waiting till it’s get dry.
The small wooden bridge and the tombstones are almost finished.
The closer to the end, the more things happen - but I work better under time pressure.🙂

I swear blending sponge in my food processor, was the weirdest thing i ever done in my kitchen. 😂
The trees are starting to have some depth of color.
This project for me it’s not quiet easy process - because i do the diorama for the first time and first i need to sit, think and find the solution of things what i want to do and how i want it to look in the end before i even touch the brush or paint. So it’s a lot process, time is running out like crazy, and i hope i’ll manage to finish it on time.🙂
In this week i plan to finish the forest base. We will see how it’s ends. And the next week i want finish my Strange Forest Men (TreeLord) and put him on the place he belong.

Last weekend, I found some time to finally start sculpting the trees. Beyond the Milliput, I used pre-made pieces from AK and GSW, fitting in the animals and other elements I want to include in my project. I also added a few elements meant to be stones under the bridge spans. Now I’m waiting for everything to dry thoroughly and harden before it’s time to apply the primer.
