🇬🇧 FINAL POST
Here we are! The story behind the diorama can be found on my profile. It was difficult to choose the photos: I love the little details and I would have loved to show you all of them… the way I see them through my own eyes.
The diorama has a 20 × 20 cm base, at 1:24 scale.
For the photos, I used a black background, lights, and my smartphone in Pro mode with a tripod.
📸 The hardest part of the entire process!!! 😂
It has been a wonderful experience sharing my progress with fellow modelling and painting enthusiasts, seeing the progress and skills of all the other participants… WOW!
I’d like to thank the team/support for this contest, and also my friends from Spain for convincing me to take part.
See you on social media! Bye! 👋❤️
🇪🇸 POST DEFINITIVO
¡Ciao! 👋

🇬🇧 English:
I had to leave these photos out of the final post because there’s a limit of 10 uploads. It would be such a shame not to show them to you, especially to those of you who have followed the whole process and the evolution of my work. I hope you’ll like them! ❤️

I’m taking a little more time before the final publication, as I wasn’t expecting the website to suddenly go offline. Tonight I’ll publish the final post! See you! 👋

Moss-covered stones, moss-covered paving... did I mention moss? 😄
Broken pottery and amphorae... I made a hole underneath the shed and hid the amphorae there (along with two bottles of smuggled liquor 🤫), then covered everything with branches, leaves, fabric and finally soil.
The whole diorama has now received its layer of ground, including the stream...
I also added some generous roots around the base of the tree. There's still some color and a few more details to add, but we're almost there!
I won't tell you what the next steps will be... 😉
See you next time!

Piedras cubiertas de musgo, adoquines cubiertos de musgo... ¿he dicho musgo? 😄
¡Ciaoooo, hasta la próxima!

The Big Tree
This part was quite challenging. I wanted to use natural wood, so I started by cutting off all the branches and choosing smaller ones. I drilled a hole through the trunk and the branch and added a reinforcing insert. Then I applied black primer with a white zenithal highlight from above.
I selected and attached the smaller branches that will hold the foliage. I painted the bark using different shades, then applied spray glue and added the flock. I painted the flock, keeping the colors darker on the lower and inner parts, and lighter and more blended towards the top.
I also added a climbing plant, dried ivy, growing from the ground up along the trunk and towards the center of the tree. I deliberately left two larger branches broken halfway, to recreate that typical messy, untidy top section of dead ivy.
I also tried a laser-cut fern kit. I selected the leaves and arranged them to create the shape of the plant, then applied black primer, a white zenithal highlight and various shades of green.
I assembled all these pieces to see how they work in the diorama. Next, I'll move on to the ground and the stream.
I've talked too much. Byeee, see you next time! 🌳🍃

He hablado demasiado. ¡Ciaoooo, hasta la próxima! 🌳🍃

🇬🇧 English What did I do? 1- I painted the 3D-printed objects. I was a little nervous about painting the puppy, so I tried to simulate the fur effect with a brush. Looking at a close-up photo, I noticed that I hadn't sanded the 3D print perfectly 👀 Oops... 2- I tried a new product (new for me) that simulates spider webs, and it worked! (I confess that a lot of the spider webs ended up flying around the room, even inside my nose... wearing a mask would definitely have been a better idea. 😂 This whole adventure inspired a painter friend to make a photomontage of Spider-Man with my face. THIS PHOTO WILL NOT BE INCLUDED 🤣) 3- I positioned and fixed the objects in place. 4- I didn't like the walkway over the stream that I had originally designed. So I remade it, and I also made a broken fence. The weathering and moss effect involved quite a lot of work: different acrylic colors, washes, a 3D moss effect... I'm attaching the final result. 5- I wanted a tree... but I didn't want to 3D print it. A few months ago, a plant I had in my garden died because of a severe frost. It had given me beautiful flowers for 8 years, so I kept the branches. They are beautiful and naturally well structured. I removed the smaller branches from the main branch/trunk, then chose some smaller branches and adapted them to the main trunk, using glue and a few reinforcing pieces. On three branches I had to rebuild some missing sections. I used UV clay and textured the surface to simulate bark. Later, I'll have to glue on the Teloxis to simulate the tree canopy and paint it... but I'll talk about that in the next update! Bye bye! See you next time! 🕷️🌳 🇪🇸 Español ¿Qué he hecho? ¡Ciaoooo! ¡Hasta la próxima! 🕷️🌳

I'll keep it short, as always!
I 3D printed a few objects for the shed, painted the barrel underneath the gutter, and added some water... I mean, resin! 😄 ...to both, creating the effect of a dripping water droplet.
I also painted the inside of the shed and placed the objects that I'll be painting next. I'm still not sure if I'll keep them in that position... I'll think about it!
See you next time! Bye!!

I painted the exterior wooden planks white. I had a bit of a battle with the crackle medium because I didn't get the result I was hoping for. Frustrated by that, I started painting the window and the door. Still thinking about the failed crackle effect, I decided to sand the paint using different grits and a rotary tool to give the wood a weathered, worn appearance.
Then I let my creativity loose with moss, rising damp, wetter areas, and rust.
This is my last working week before the summer holidays, so I'll finally have more substantial updates to share!
See you next time!

🇬🇧 English A bit of painting this week... For the metal roof, I started with cardboard and then applied matte black primer, metallic gray, a rust effect, and a few touches of moss. I used the same painting process for the gutter and the little bell. I also primed the puppy and the industrial barrel with black primer. I 3D printed both of them using resin. Now I'm waiting for some materials I ordered to arrive. 📦 See you next time, bye!!

Weekly Update
To simulate concrete pillars supporting the shed, I cut pieces of polystyrene and then painted them using different shades of grey and green to recreate the moss caused by rising damp from the ground below.
The first painting approach for the shed has a natural look, but after seeing it, I'm not completely satisfied. I'll change both the color and the style.
See you next week!
