Kodiak

Tonight I will be finishing the sub wings and starting on the weapons. I was going to paint the whole base but I decided it would make the piece too busy, so I opted for a red and gold adornment which I think came out great. Afterwords it's just the decals and a protective topcoat for them, get him posed and we're done!

The la rge wings are fully painted and im now working on the sub wings, next is weapons and decals. Because of the extended deadline I will have time to do a much more in depth job with the decals, so I'm going to take my time with them.

A significant amount of progress this past week, the legs, waist, torso, and head are assembled! Currently working on the arms, and then I can tackle the wings.

The legs and waist are complete, the torso is rigged with leds, snd the rest of the candy for the torso and head is under way. The deadline is looming, so its time to kick things into high gear and get started with the arms this upcoming week!

The led channels are created, the waist is ready to be armored, and the torso is halfway complete. Saturday we will do some assembly and get leds ready to be placed, and from there begin work on finishing the torso and getting the head built and hooked up for its led. Now that I've gotten this far I'm less concerned about not making the September deadline, but I still have the massive wings on the horizon to tackle.

I missed last week's update because I was very ill, but I'm realizing I really need to kick things into high gear if I want to get the kit done in time, all I have done is the legs! This build has tested my patience at every turn, but I think going forward I have all the knowledge I need to be more effiicent with the work. I'm moving on to the waist and torso!

A few setbacks with paint and part fitment but we finally have a pair of legs! Working on the thigh mounted thrusters still but they should be completed by tomorrow. Soon I can finally move on to the waist.

I've been sick lately so progress has been slow, but I'm getting back in gear, and the legs will hopefully be complete this week. The inner details of the frame are finished, and 75% of the armor is done. Next is finally solving my topcoat problem (hopefully) and on to the rest of the body.

Unfortunately I spent the majority of this week sick so I wasn't able to make any progress. I plan on doubling down in the coming week to try and get as much done as possible.

Several parts had to be stripped and re-chromed, which will take a few days to cure. Meanwhile I'm trying to solve the issue where some of my parts that are already assembled have chipped in a few places. This is most likely due to the topcoat not being strong enough, or it could be that the Kaleido isn't adhering to the chrome as well as I would have thought. Working on a feasible way to get a lacquer topcoat on the parts, which with my current indoor spraying situation is not as easy as I'd like it to be.
