Time for final shots!

Here is my personal vision handpaint, custom work based on the great sculpt of Vlad Fox Sculpture., for Magnus "the Red".

Magnus is described as Tall and Red... but how tall? And how red? His power allows him to appear however he wants in people's eyes, just like the Emperor, and even more so as a demon. So I decided to exploit the element of legend inherent in any description of an exceptional character, by taking the opposite view of the notion of "red" as a skin affliction, with a pale complexion for a red-haired giant. 👍
The size, on the other hand, is treated as gigantic, almost titanic, with the reminder of the scale with the skulls on the base, in keeping with the standard of our 28/35mm figurines.
And there are 9 of them... 😉

Voilà les photos de mon plus gros projet à ce jour (en figurine!), avec Magnus le Rouge.

Magnus est décrit comme Grand et Rouge... mais grand comment? Et rouge comment? Son pouvoir lui permet surtout d'apparaître comme il le veut aux yeux des gens, au même titre que l'Empereur et encore plus en etant démon.
J'ai donc décidé d'exploiter la part de légende, inhérente à toute description d'un personnage exceptionnel, en prenant à contre-pied la notion de "rouge" comme une affliction de peau, sur un teint pâle pour un géant à la chevelure rousse. 👍
La taille par contre est traitée comme gigantesque, presque un titan, avec le rappel de l'échelle avec les crânes sur le socle, au standard de nos figurines 28/35mm.
Et il y'en à 9... 😉

Time to paint the floating "Book of Magnus"
The signet is made in green stuff, with metal rod in it (piano wire) to connect the hand to the book, and make it flying.
It's magical!

Seems i've have lost my last update, so here is some more little decoration free hand paint, on the Magnus cloth

Need to do decoration on the "skirt", with the pre-heresy thousand sons glyph. This is just the start. I use a round tape template, to guid me for drawing.

I've modified the tiara to make stripe, the original have glyphs that i didn't like.
I prefer the yellow and blue asa recall of Thousans sons post heresy colors.

Try to make the red hairs, before final assembly

Here is the progress status, with the base protected, the painted armour and the start of the fabric.
I've done the tiara on the head.

I start the flesh and the head... a bit... rapidly. My idea for a long time ago, is to make a different and unusual version of Magnus "the red"... with a pale skin and an affliction like a red vitiligo or angiome.
This is the part of legend... and this affliction give to him the nick-name of "The Red" : that's the idea !

Need to do the basetopping, with different sands and rock... and some tiny skulls bits (9 exactly ;-) )

Multiples gold references for the armour, with black parts under.
