King Bob!

I picked up this kit to use a filler between other builds, and decided to do a "Tokyo Drift" style scheme with my King Bob's Model Werks decals. Chrome yellow paint on the exterior and denim blue interior follow the "Minions" theme

Revell '69 Pro Street Camaro "Rampage"

Built Revell model to match the earlier, out of proportion Monogram Rampage pro street kit. Kaleido Colorworks paints and varnish were used on the build, Decals are from Second Chance Redlines. Thankx for looking and I hope you enjoyed the build!

King Bob's Model Werks

This build is a test to see if I can replicate Hot Wheels "Spectra Flame" finish using a chrome base coat and the Kaliedo translucent colors. In this case, purple.

The hard part is making the body perfectly smooth, as any defects will be amplified by the chrome, and show through the translucent finish.

I had to re-do the finish three times until I had all spots fixed.

I also tried for the first time the Air Beast Colors Super Chrome lacquer which goes over a gloss black base, and seems to be the most durable one available and can handle being top coated.

Finished off with 9 coats of Kaliedo gloss varnish before wet sanding and polishing.

K.I.T.T. is finished! The body was primed and painted using my new swallowtail with the fan cap, Kaliedo gloss varnish has been laid down, 10 coats in all. wet sanded and polished. Clear parts added as well as the detail parts. to finish assembly.
