And that’s a wrap on the MG Barbatos!
As the title says, it’s been a long campaign, but we finally made it to the finish line. I want to give a massive thank you to everyone who has followed along with this build over the last few weeks.
To everyone who took the time to leave a comment, share feedback, or just drop a like on the progress updates—thank you. Your support really kept the momentum going through all the heavy weathering, paint layers, and detailing.
Good luck to all the other builders in the Gaahleri competition, there is some incredible work being shown off here!

Tanking a Break from barbatos this week.
I bought the original 24 mecha colour kit from Kalido but there were colours that I would not typically default to.
So I ran a little trial on a HG Deathscythe model kit that I had primed in metallic sliver and painted each armour panel a different color in the set.
I have to say it turned out better than expected.

Straight out of a grueling warzone.
Battle-tested and battered. The heavy weathering pass on the Barbatos Lupus is complete.
Before the final cinematic showcase goes live, I need to pick the diorama base.
What environment theme do you envision for this base (e.g., Martian desert, ruined industrial city, or snowy tundra) so we can align the long-form video packaging and thumbnail concept around it?

So I was hoping to have this completed this week but I still have the torso, head, and back pack.
This is the most weathering I have done but I think it's needed for the long camping look with out resupply and maintenance.
Let me know your thoughts.

I just realized l never posted the Assembled pics of Barbatos before weathering.
After weeks of getting it pristine, this is the final look before I commit.
I love it clean. Part of me just wants to put it on the shelf and leave it safe. But you all know the truth it will tell a better story with rust, mud, and dust. So this is the line in the sand. Clean photos done. Next update is weathering.

Who else gets this? I get a part perfectly painted, I love it, I just want to leave it alone. Then that voice in my head says, it needs weathering. It needs life. I know rust and mud and dust will make it better, but once you start you cannot go back. That is the scary part. Alright, deep breath. Let's weather

So this far into the build. Lets go a little off script and see what some on my Transparent Paint can do.
The clear black over metallic have the gun body great depth of colour!
Also it was my first attempt and the metal heat stress at the end of the gun barrel!
Enjoy!

So after a week not not having a chance to work on my model until today I realized I missed some parts for paint.
Hopefully this week coming you will see a model!

Hello everyone,
The only work that I have done on barbatos this week was on the white Armor (and that was today).
Enjoy the video!
