Well here it is again. Honestly this contest changed something in me. I no longer care. Thank you

Used my fall contest entry as a practice dummy to dial in as a warm up for my final catalog of photos of my WRB heavyweight championship.

I stole some marking decals from my rx78-2 ver ka I built long before I was customizing or doing full out of box builds.
Painted the yellow beams pink. And now I'm off to find the base for it. This small mini contest submission is a wrap.

Here he is in all his glory I was able to push through this morning and finish off the last bits. I present my fall entry for the local hobby contest.
I call him
"Grandpa why are your pants so big?"
On the same token however, this is exactly why I don't love the traditional Gundam build anymore it's just really just too simple of a process .. the gimmicks are even simple. I spent about 24 working hours total on this build. Sure it could be a bit cleaner. But overall it sells the idea and looks dang good. Just wish the gundam experience had more meat to it.

Again this gelgoog is for a local contest. Just messing around with an idea I've had for awhile now.

For the full experience of this media please adjust your volume and listen.
This is just one of those extra little details I was able to throw together. I hope you all enjoy it. It was a lot of fun to create.

I have taken just about all of the pictures that I need. Here's one to lead off this post as a matter of fact!. My ring girl!! Ironically, this is a kit that my partner snap built, she hated how her hair was green... So she had me paint it blue and purple for her. She willingly sacrificed her for this project which I deeply appreciate!!! I made the sign from foam board. Kookey was going to print one for me, but had a major printer malfunction unfortunately so he's out of commission for now.
But I sparked a lot of interest with my last post on my next contest project. Again this is for a local modeling thing. Just show up with our models and show off! I guess! So here is the rest of what i accomplished on the torso and waist!
Later today I will begin to coat the large panels in white for the gelgoogs bell bottoms and legs!
I also have to do the inner frame for the arms and legs.
I really wish I could find the action base 1 eff cross logo to support this guy when he's all done.

GWCC 2026 Was a wild ride. SO many ups and downs along the way. Im happy to have sat down in my seat this morning knowing that my contest submission is done. I have a video to shoot yet. But otherwise I'm satisfied with how everything came together. Here's a sneak peek at my fall project for a local modeling contest.
This will be gelgoog mg dressed up as rx78-2 , and the twist to this is it will feature a fully converted paint scheme. I'll continue to post this journey as well as it shows a little more of the behind the scenes then my actual gwcc entry did due to using a story as my method of telling it.
So these pieces are all inner frame, they have been rinsed and soaped, clipped and sanded for any small nubs or imperfections. I then hit them with a light prime coat as a lot of these pieces will be fully covered. Anything that has potential to be exposed gets a better prime job. After primer is dry, I give them a base metallic coat. Basically I flip through the pages and make two piles. One for brass/gold pieces and one for silver pieces. I use rattle cans during this phase, as it's generally quicker.
After those base metallics are dry, I go in with my contrasting markers, so for brass/gold pieces I use a silver marker for silver pieces I use a gold marker. Highlights and details that are pre-existing on the pieces get treatment when appropriate.
As you can see in the finished beam rifle, it ends up a blend of metallics at this point. I'll set this to the side now to begin the rest of the sub assemblies.

Just applying the final touches to the turnbuckle pieces and parts before I finally assemble the ring for the final pictures.

I have begun to shift my focus into the fall modeling season. We have a local contest, very relaxed, just show up day of with your finished model. I plan to do an alternate timeline take on the gelgoog. My idea is federation forces brokered with zeon engineers and designers. Amuro Ray gets a Gelgoog instead of a gundam basically. Here are the first mock ups of the idea.
