She is finally complete! My main goal for this piece was to showcase high contrast and expressive color theory: balancing vibrant magenta and soft pink skin tones with striking, neon-green hair and rich gold metallics. The temple ruins base, with its glowing fel-green energy seeping through the cracked stone floor, grounds her right in the middle of a dark, magical atmosphere.
Thank you to everyone following along with the updates, and huge thanks to GWCC for hosting such an inspiring competition. I’m proud to submit this as my final entry!"

I built the ruined temple scene with glowing fel-green energy seeping through the cracked stone floor. After establishing the green OSL effect in the crevices, I painted the stonework to achieve a dark, atmospheric finish
To wrap it up, I also added some scorched/burnt tufts of grass to enhance the desolate environment (forgot to snap photos of that final detail, but you'll see it in the final showcase!).

Dexcessa is almost whole! The wings are firmly glued on, and the model is completely put together.
I am thrilled with how the high contrast and color palette look on the full model. Now all that's left is to craft the base to give her the grand stage she deserves. Stay tuned for the final finished post!

Huge milestone reached today. Painting is 100% complete! I’m now gluing the wings together and attaching them to Dexcessa.
Transporting fragile miniatures is always a adventure, and a small part of the knee broke off during a recent trip. Thankfully, it was an easy fix and you can't even tell it happened! Now, onto the final assembly steps.

Another piece of the puzzle falls into place! Today I focused on painting the side drapes that flow down from Dexcessa’s hips.
The next step for both the robes and the main figure will be pushing the contrast further

The wings are now finished. The figure is almost there, but the last 10% is where the magic happens. My next steps are smoothing out the transitions between light and shadow on the skin, adding the final edge highlights, and fully shading her flowing robes to give them more depth. We are in the home stretch!

Time for a quick update on my Dexcessa project! I’ve been focusing heavily on the wings, and they are nearly complete, just missing the final adjustments and tiny details. I'm really happy with how the deep purples and gradients are coming together.
However, I ran into a bit of a challenge with the jewelry piece. The plastic is incredibly fragile, and a section on the right side accidentally snapped off. I tried gluing it back on once, but it broke again and unfortunately got lost.
Instead of giving up, I came up with a solution: I'm taking an unused spare piece from the box, cutting out the exact missing section, priming it, and gluing it in place before matching the paint job. Modeling always throws a curveball at you, but it's all part of the process! Stay tuned for the next steps.

I am incredibly excited to share the first step-by-step progress of my entry for the GWCC Miniature category.
