Welcome to my official build log for GWCC 2026. This project centers on a massive, ancient stone giant monolith guarding a long-forgotten mountain trail. My objective with this build is to merge meticulous physical post-processing with high-contrast paint theory and organic world-building. The centerpiece figure is paired with a matching custom stone-studded war club asset. Because competitive diorama building requires a flawless canvas, this 120-day journey begins with a heavy focus on technical print engineering—erasing support artifacts, re-sculpting marred stone textures, and structurally pinning the monolith into a scratch-built terrain. Visually, the project will explore the stark contrast between harsh, cold granite tones and vibrant, deep amethyst crystal growths. The character will be seamlessly integrated into a custom-fabricated landscape made of high-density foam and genuine slate, heavily detailed with multi-layered static grass, realistic foliage, and weathered moss. This log will document every step of the physical workbench journey, from raw resin to the final, narrative-driven display.
