This week, I finally started painting the Viper. I used Kaleido Grey Primer, followed by a silver base and clear purple to get the color I was after. While waiting for the paint to dry, I also repaired the windshield. After the clear gloss had cured for 48 hours, I polished the body with Meguiar's compound to bring back the shine.

This week was all about refining the details before paint. I chose to keep the Viper's street car character by extending the factory spoiler instead of adding a wing, then balanced it with a larger diffuser and a refined front splitter.
The body is finally ready for paint. On to the next stage.

Week 3 is all about getting the stance right.
Sometimes the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference. Lowering the front just enough, leaving room for the splitter, and refining its proportions completely changed the Viper's attitude.
Every modification is a decision, and every decision shapes the final build.

A great finish begins long before the paint.
This week was all about preparing the foundation—refining the body surface, correcting imperfections, and reshaping the rear fenders to better match the direction of the build.
These changes may seem subtle, but they will influence every step that follows.
The build is now ready to move into its next stage.
See you in Week 03.

Every custom starts by removing what no longer belongs.
This week, I stripped the Viper down to its bare body—removing the original paint, factory parts, and everything that defined its previous identity.
Only with a clean foundation can a new vision begin.
Wreck to Menace is my official GWCC 2026 project, where I'll be documenting not only the build, but also the design decisions behind every step.
See you in Week 02.

Every build begins with a decision.
For this project, I chose a forgotten Dodge Viper with plenty of untapped potential. It wasn't the cleanest casting, but it offered the freedom to become almost anything.
This is where Wreck to Menace begins.
