Landing gear
There is a need to get her on own legs!
Pic 1 The legs are masked again and the yellow was painted, followed by clear coat.
Pic 2 The prepared tail skid is finally mounted.
Pic 3 The Legs were glued into the fuselage holes.
Pic 4 The halve axles (see an early update) were not yet finished. 4 pieces of nickel silver plates were soldered to the nickel silver axles and then filed smaller around.
Pic 5 The wood was painted white and the axles are chemical browned to get them dark without losing details.
Pic 6 The wooden board and the axles are mounted. The axles are pressed down by "bungee cords", very thin braided lines. Here you can also see the task of the soldered metal plates: hold the suspension cords in shape.
Pic 7 I had to shorten the axles a bit to have a good fit of the wheels (not yet painted). I plugged in the lower wings for measurement: The plane is standing straight.
Pic 8 I also checked the layout on drawing - Ok!
