I'm not gonna re-hash what I said in the post that got deleted x'D
This is the final submission for this project~ And what a project it's been.
Album for *all* the pictures cause 10 isn't enough xD

All right that wraps up this project, and with that I think I'm all ready for the 9th. I'm gonna take a few more of the two together, but I'll have to do that after I get back from my trip~
This is the final of the 1/144 scale revision of the 1/100 TR6 kit I finished recently~ I've a few things left to revise on the overall design after this build but they're mostly nitpicks or things that I only need to change to make things build a little bit easier~
This has been an enormous amount of effort to get here and I am just, absolutely over the moon with how this one came out, and I hope you all have enjoyed all the little progress updates and blurbs along the way~
As I said initially, the TR6 Woundwort is easily one of my favorite gundam designs, and Fujioka Kenki is a massively influential designer to me, so I really hope i was able to do his design some justice with these imaginings~
I've got a custom painted (acrylics, before I knew lacquers) Bandai 1/144 and a regular straight build of the 1/144 at the end for some comparisons~
Not quite the final post for this project, but the final for this part of it~

Really cutting it close with when I need to have this one done, but I'm getting through it x'D
Everything *mostly* lines up, or lines up within enough margin of error that I can either scooch it or it's in a spot that isn't as visible once assembled.
Just need to get the sub assemblies together and make sure fitment is good, add waterslides, and matte top coat.
I can do this xD

Started getting into the base coats for the 1/144 finally after finishing up all the revisions. Spent most of yesterday and today doing the priming and Base coating. I also got into the pinstriping on the legs, and I'm really hoping that it all lines up well enough, or I can shmoove things to get close. (I did al the set up with the upper leg assembled so I think it should be ok though~)
I did have to break out the cricut to make a custom vinyl mask for the front leg because the tape wouldn't fold right and that was a whole thing. But real easy cause I have all the CADs to work off of for that. Something I'd never really thought about trying x'D
Anyway tomorrow I need to get all the touch ups and detail painting done, and then gloss coat everything for panel lining.
We're getting there~

Nothing to exciting to this update because it's mostly boring prototyping, but I'm almost done.
And just in time too I think x'D
So I just quick snapped a pic of my messy desk. Left is the good bits in varying states o f test assembly, lower right is the stuff I need to tweak *again* and upper left is the older iterations.
In about 5 hours I'll know if my work is done, and then I can start getting it all primed/painted. You can see a couple of the pinstripe spoons I did as tests for the scheme. I should be able to do it, and I'm pretty excited about it xD

Now that the 1/100 is done, I decided that for the future works in this project, I'll be working in 1/144 scale, so what am I to do but re-work things again for 1/144 scaling.
Gotta update all the joint and gap tolerances, and adjust all the details for the smaller scale. Minimize some of the part count to ultimately result in a more stable model with what I've learned from making two of the 1/100 scale figures.
So to test the scaling and see where things sit, I just straight scaled the 1/100 down to 1/144. No adjustments, no detail updating, just scaled the pre-supports and ran it (last pic, comparing to a 1/144 Bandai Woundwort Kit)
Workin' through that exercise showed me what kinda parts I could get away with at this scale, and what needed to be tweaked or minimized~ And also apparently *add* details which I didn't model into the 1/100 x'D Right now it's a little frustrating because most of the changes are internal, so it's not that exciting to see, but that's how it goes sometimes.
Gonna also try to do one of the harder Titans schemes for it.
1/144 scale pinstriping is gonna be the end of me x'D
If I can, I'll finish one of the 1/144 builds and add it to the overall project, but if not, I still have the 1/100 entry for the comp, motivation to work through is motivation.
It's cutting it close, but I think I can do it~

I think I got the settings well enough for a decent turntable~
And you can see some of the colorshift on the main armor panels. I'm glad it worked out how I wanted it to. It's there, but nice and subtle~
I'll have to get a final post together with my thoughts, as I don't think I'll have the time to model out the Hazel II backpack, and print and paint that and another CSB, so this is probably it for me.
Till then~

As of now, I've wrapped up the this portion of my build for GWCC. Depending on how I feel, I might see about adding the Hazel II parts to this build, but for right now I'm gonna ride this high for a little bit.
There's no greater feeling then wrapping up a build and looking at it, and thinking. "I made that."
I'm just glad I could do the Woundwort some justice. (I think I did it justice anyway x'D and that's all that matters.)
I'll probably take some more photos tomorrow, and I want to figure out how to take a decent turntable with my camera, so expect at least some more of that if I decide to hold off on trying to fit the Hazel II parts in~
Anyway, it's way past my bedtime, but I'm just so chuffed with having this where it is now~

(Edit: White background was way better then the Black x'D)
And with that, I've wrapped up the Woundwort half of this build~ Jeez, it's always so good to see a thing come together when you're putting all the pieces together.
For now I can sit back and admire this mech~
I've got the CSB all base coated, I just need to go through and do everything else to it x'D
I'm hoping to try and wrap that up in the next few days, but we'll see how that goes~

The next few entries from me are probably going to be mostly geared towards finalizing the Main TR6 assemblies, and then getting into the CSB after finishing those stages~
(I tried setting up a little impromptu booth, but I really should have just walked downstairs to my actual black photo booth xD )
So this update is just me working through the lower body and the tail booster~ And getting, what is probably one of the most important waterslides to the build on the tail booster (The TR6 Woundwort Emblem) A little frustrated that some of these transfers don't have a white font variant, but what can you do x'D
