Well, I'm finally done! A lot of work, a lot of brush strokes, and plenty of late nights. It was fun... and painful at the same time 😂, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Even better, the new owner already loves it, and I hope you all do too!
For this project, I stayed true to my signature 2D cel-shading style, giving the miniature a comic book-inspired, two-dimensional look. I'm incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this piece while participating in such a well-organized competition.
Using the Gaahleri Seeker was an absolute breeze, and their Rapid Matte Varnish gave the model a beautiful, durable finish that really brought everything together.
Thank you to @gaahleri_official for making quality tools that are affordable and enjoyable to use. I can't wait to see everyone else's amazing entries. Good luck to all the competitors!

Almost at the finish line!, Completed all 3 heads, decided to do his vest with more orange tones and magenta. Exited to see this one through.

Finished the base for my Gogeta entry! My daughter loved how the rocks came out.
I decided to start with the base this time since I usually leave it for last and end up rushing it. Hoping this approach keeps me motivated and gives the base the attention it deserves from start to finish.
On to Gogeta! 💪🔥

More progress! 2D cel shading has quickly become my favorite painting style. The colors are incredibly vibrant and an absolute joy to paint with. I can't wait to share the finished piece with you all!
I just finished the energy ball and now will start working on the base.

Started with a flat white primer. When I work on 2d anime style painting I like my color to really pop. White works great to allow the initial coat to be saturated without applying to many layers which gives me a great starting point to complete this style.
