It's time for details and decals before the final coat; I tried creating a heat effect on the axe, but unfortunately, the curve of the blade is difficult to mask perfectly, so I'll have to restart 😕

faulk90 days agoThe red is great looking. The heat effect is very close to being perfect. I would suggest adding in more transition with a slightly smaller red area and some bright white glazed lightly with a florescent yellow along the edge. And try to vary the transitions.

@faulk Yeah, give it a second try—maybe using the smaller needle. I tried doing it while I was busy with something else and didn't feel like taking everything apart.

Cristian Carlone91 days agoThe red color, decals and stencils look great. The heathawk glowing effect is not easy, I agree. But you’ll pull it off! The results so far are really good. Maybe you want to add a bit of off-white in the center of the yellow, to simulate the hottest part of the blade.
