leftover pieces of floating floors (I don't know what they're called in your countries), to make the outline of the base
A few days ago, I found some construction debris from a neighbor's job. Among it were pieces of laminate flooring, which are made of a plastic-like material but have a nice wood-like finish. I collected and saved them thinking about things like this. Well, I've already put them to use. I cut the pieces to the size of each side of the base and shaped them. I'll glue those to the base. I'll show you how it turned out.
