This week I started on the base and the crew figures, I decided to go with the oval base design, I think it will be somewhere like Tempelhof. I've used XPS foam and then made a mix of plaster hole filler with water, modpodge and little grey paint (unfortunately I didn't use enough to colour the base). I've then sealed the whole base with modpodge ready for painting. I've also prime the figures in black and then a white highlight from above ready to paint as well. Hopefully this week I'll paint both base and crew then I can get landing gear on and work towards the final result.
