The tailplane was not yet completed. So far only shown on some masking stages together with the wings.

Pic 1 Now also with the thin black line masked and painted, the upper side shown.

Pic 4 Some control horns as pinned PE are included in the kit, but it is not easy to mount them correctly as the pin from the opposite side is in conflict and they are flat.

So I invented a new solution: made new ones from a brass strip and make them thicker with soldering. But not in the middle - hold them with tweezers there.

Pic 5 As the next step I saw a cut with a thin resin saw into the elevator. This allows an easy and straight mounting of the control horns after they get little holes. One piece more for the rudder.

Pic 6 A little bit of CA secures them in place and some black paint finalizes the control horns.

Pic 7 The rudder is also painted with masks. I hate to put decals around the corners.

Pic 8 The fin is painted yellow and clear coated in preparation for decals.

Pic 9 A rare decal sheet provides generic RFC and RNAS serial numbers in various styles, on the left the fin.
