A rigged biplane! Part I
Yesterday afternoon and today (ok, that is no more valid due to the repost) I made a big step forward! It is a biplane now and also the rigging is nearly done. For this special rigging I tried a new method the first time!
I have so many photos - I have to split this update in two parts.
Teaser photo 1 The result of this update!
Pic 2 I used the alternate wing for mounting the struts. So I can avoid scratches on the upper wing.
Pic 3 Removed the dummy and glued the upper wing on - a nice biplane!
Pic 4 The Sopwith Camel had no normal rigging with ropes and turnbuckles. It used "RAF Wires" which were aerodynamic flat steel bars with threads at the ends, sitting in terminals. GasPatch has some nice terminals, made from resin. More than 100 on a block (see right).
Pic 5 Previously I have used a rubber "EZ-line", but that goes only hardly through the terminals and it twists easily. Until now I have not found a flat metal wire. I rigged a Boeing Stearman with flat metal wires, but those were bigger. Now you see my newest discovery: a flat nickel chrome wire with 0.2x0.1mm.
Pic 6 The rigged tail. Looks damn nice!
Pic 7 Another 4 wires go to the lower side.
Pic 8 I added 8 wires as crosses between the struts.
Part II follows soon.

@antampatz Thank you very much! I love it too. My camera shows the orange-yellow (Cadmium Yellow) more orange then in real, even with white balance. It is an interesting pigment. With artificial light (e.g., in my glass cabinet) it looks much more yellow.

@modelowystartpl I'm completely happy with the short pieces, but not really with the long wires. May be I should stick here to the previous rubber solution.
