Mark's Mecha Models

Progress is moving on the inner frame. This episode I tackled the hydraulic cylinder housings — one of those details that's easy to overlook but makes a huge difference up close on a 1/100 scale build. The finish is a 3-step candy metallic coat: Kaleido Gloss Black Primer as the base, Army Painter Speedpaint Copper over top, then Kaleido Translucent Red to bring in that deep candy glow. The translucent layer over the metallic gives it a warmth that straight copper just doesn't have — really happy with how it reads against the rest of the inner frame.
