The Gundam Mk-II and Mobile Pod Ball,
two units, were used as the base for this custom build.
The Gundam Mk-II was equipped with a long-range custom weapon system, while the Ball was also reworked with adjusted details and colors to complement the overall composition.
For this project, I focused not only on the two units themselves, but also on the hangar environment. Wiring, pipes, maintenance equipment, and various mechanical details were added throughout to create the atmosphere of an active maintenance facility.
I also added subtle points of interest to each small space, along with LED lighting to bring the atmosphere of the hangar to life.
Rather than having the units and the background feel separate, my goal was to create a scene that feels as though everything is actually functioning and operating within the same space.

I'm currently working on the hangar build.
I'm using only pla-plate, plastic rods, and Bandai junk parts for this build.
The Haro was scratch-built using epoxy putty.

Finished MG Ball Ver.Ka.
With this, both mobile suits for the diorama are now complete.
Next up: moving on to the hangar build!

I decided to build this project with the same concept as my previous MG Gundam Mk-II.
The concept is “Long-Range Custom.”
Since the Ball is relatively lightly armored by design, I imagined that its best chance of survival would be to stay far away from the enemy and engage from long range.
Now that all the materials for the diorama are ready,
it’s time to start building the hangar.

A transparent styrene sheet was used to create a custom targeting visor, allowing the large bazooka to be aimed more accurately.
The remaining details were built using styrene sheets and styrene rods, while all junk parts used for the detailing came exclusively from Bandai kits.
I also added extra panel line details to increase the overall level of mechanical detail and visual complexity.
With the mobile suit now complete, it's time to move on to the next build for the hangar diorama.
The next kit is the MG Ball Ver.Ka.
