Just wanted to give a small update, showing the paints and tools i used during this Porject.
Ionic paint, was mainly used to the NMM, and some of the blue washing.
Ionic inks + Army painter fluorescent, for the glowing and OSL effect.
Army painter Fanatic, for most of the paint work.
Artis Opus brushes, One of my favorite brush brands, the quality for the hairs is so nice.
and of course...
Mobius 0.3, it was my first quality air brush, and its never let me down.
have about 2 updates left, one for final touches and one secret update. before i submit the final Submission
Thank you all for the support.

Getting close to the end.
now it was time to get things finished. I finished the NNM on the trim, intensified the glow on the power clawer, and added the lightning effect to the claw,
and intensified the lightning on the armour.
I redone the chain glaive, i wasn't happy with the way it looked, and it didn't feel like it fit the over all scheme of colours.
finished off the helm as well, added depth to the bat wings, and some NNM to the trim.
Next to tasks to do, is some small clean up and correction, then finish off the small parts of the base

Unfortunately i didn't get a lot of time this week to paint.
i was able to get in some stuff done, continued with the NNM trim, add some candles to the base to give it a little more occult feel. painted the grip of the chain glaive, and added the iconic lightning to the armour.
next i need to finish up the trim, add some lightning arks between the claws and coming off the armour, then start work on helmet.

I gave the base a new high light and intensified the glow from the base, added some decorations to the base in terms of skulls, grass and candles to give the base more life to it.
then i went with a dark brown ink to put some shadows to the steps to help with lighting effects and to increase the sense of depth to the base and overall. I used inks to tint the steps, rather then to colour the in the shadows.
then i started with the NMM on the trims (still need more practice), i started with a gold NMM, but changed my mine as it really didn't fit the aesthetics i wanted to achieve.
next will be to finish the NMM on the trim, then move onto more of the other details and start to add effects like lighting on the armour and coming off the claw.

Started with the base for the Night Lord, i dry brushed all of the stone textures, to get a nice nature earthen look to the base while creating so small shadow areas.
then started adding the base layer of reds to create the glowing effect, then added white to highlight areas, this is to make the glow effect more potent.
Using my Airbrush (Mobius 0.3) i traced the lines and runes of the alter with white, then angled my airbrush to only hit one side of the faces that are at the bottom of the alter, this is to help with accentuate where light is coming from.
then it was time to add the glow using fluorescent paints.
next will to be to intensify the glow, add more elements to the base, and then start with the NNM on the Night Lord.

All the base coats are down, now starts the S (shadows) L(light), Of the BSL system.
did the 1st step of the glow on the power claw, this will help with the OSL later.
started with the chrome NNM in some areas, and added texture to the cape with scratch blending.
next up will be to work on the base, as this will tell me where my light source is coming from and where my shadow will be, as it will have an under glow so my shadows and light will be reversed.

Short update, busy week
had the base printed, and filled in the layer lines using Tamiya putty, thinned out with Mr hobby level thinner, work really well.
next i shaved down the tactical rock and i had to carve out his foot then the rock as well, that was a pain.
Started with the base layers, i did an under glow with the airbrush, but i didn't like how it turned out, so I'm going to add it with the NNM step.
Put down the base glow for the lighting claw, next will be to at lighting effects and improve the glow.
Trim will be getting a full NNM dull gold look.

started with the assembly of the model, gave him a new power claw to replace the power fist.
I didnt like the chain axe, so i made my own chain glaive from a chain sword, 2 handed chain axe and a power maul, to make the iconic chain glaives that Night Lords are known for.
next step will be the base, the original idea was have him breaking through the side of a space ship, but due to how his food is molded to the tactical rock, i have to think of a new base idea.
