I am finally tackling the kit itself and begun the first steps of building. Now as per usual, many of these kits begin with running gear and suspension assembly. This kit is no exception.

Even though often overlooked, but an important detail in my eyes is the wear and tear seen on the tires of the running gear. These vehicles faces harsh conditions and rubber chipping off in chunks is a natural result of facing these conditions. And that is what I am trying to currently replicate.

The kit wheels are pretty nice by themselves, but adding wear gives them character in my eyes. This was done by using files and a hobby knife to chip off edges and the tire itself to give it that effect. One of these wheels is shown as an example.
