Trying something new (again)
I took the thruster binders from a G Frame Rick Dias to add to the Zero Shiki's back unit and cemented parts from the shoulders to give more volume to the thruster portion of the binders. Unfortunately these binders were mostly hollow on the "inside". At a friend's suggestion I tried using Miliput to fill the gaps. Being my first time using it, it was an educational experience. I was previously unaware of how hard dried Miliput could be, and resorted to using a rotary tool to sand it down (while wearing a respirator mind you. Never neglect your PPE!). After I sanded it down far enough with the rotary tool, I used sandpaper and sanding sticks to smooth it further. These binders will need some further cleanup, but I'll tackle that when I prep them for painting.
