A few months ago Bandai released the RG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 2.0 (Hatsune Miku Ver.) as an exclusive. Hard to get here in the States without paying some outrageous amount. So I made my own version, my way.

The RX-78(G)E has so much hidden details in the innerframe that I wanted to bring out through the use of a silver metallic dry brush and a copper detailing. I used two types of grey one matte and one glossy to really break up the panels and bring out the detail of the kit. For the accents I used the classic Miku blue and a metallic pink.

The head was particularly tricky as I have not worked at the 1/144 scale while doing a full repaint before but with many many attempts I landed on a good result.

The build is obviously far from over I plan to add much more. So far this has been an amazing build process and can not wait to share more.
