Now I have the Tank Camo done I can start to match the colour scheme of the Diorama and start to add foliage. I have plenty of grass / trees etc but don't want to overwhelm the clean view.. so bit by bit I'll add and finish after the tank and figures are added. Thanks for looking and good luck everyone.

I have decided on a 3 colour camo pattern freehand applied. I have done some dry brushing for a metallic effect and edge highlighting. The overall effect has left the body very shiny, but that's quite normal at this layer stage. I'm now able to put the body of the tank in the diorama and start to blend in the colour and foliage choices. Good luck to you all and I'll see you in the next update.

This week I started the build of the Panzerkampfwagen II. I'm hoping to get the scheme decided upon and started this week, so I can see the tank in the diorama and start to make some more creative choices as to what else is needed to complete the picture. Concentrating on a little more Diorama work, placing the foundation for the ruined farm building in the backround and buildng a little more wall., it probably took as long to build as a 1:1 scale wall at this point! Once this is in place, I can start on the tank and come back to the diorama in stages.. so next udate will be focusing on the tank build. A very fast update! I used timelapse to squeeze a few hours into 100mb, and also because there isn't much in the way of fine detail to show. I have laid out the basic areas of the diorama so that I can scale the scene. I've put in the main track and the green fields each side. A stone wall marks the approximate centre line. This is the first layer and looks cartoonish in colour at this stage, there will be adjustment in the final colours once everything can be seen together. The next step at the weekend is to start the tank build. Once I am able to see the tank in the scene I will decide what extra detail needs to be added to the diorama. Foliage? Buildings? Here we go! A short update at first - Chosen the fantastic 1:35 Tamiya Panzerkampfwagen ii F/G and I'm hoping to do it justice in a diorama. I'm still unsure at this stage what shape that will take.. it'll be dictated by the scheme of the camouflage I choose.. I'm not quite there with the decision yet.. 24 hours isn't long enough to decide!! Thank you for looking.. next week's update will be much more detailed!
