This competition has been a blast. I don't really know how many years would have gone by before I organically made this project (if ever). So thanks for the opportunity to build something amazing on a world stage. It was just the push I needed.
This build showcases an internal struggle between aggressiveness, mercy & self sacrifice. The pilot of the white and orange suit Kyrios is Allelujah Haptism and he has captured an enemy suit who is buying time for his comrades to retreat. Allelujah has an internal conflict to work through. He has an alternate personality named Hallelujah who wants to kill the pilot of the blue Space Type Tieren.
To save you from all the drama. Hallelujah gains control and pierces the blue suit through the cockpit killing it's pilot. He then screams "Isn't this fun? ALLELUJAH!!!" (I changed the actual quote to sound better for the title of my project). This scene impacted me when I was younger in 2007. Ultimately I was young enough to remember it as one of the most B.A. moments in a Gundam Series.
The series is Gundam 00 and this takes place in episode 10. Please go watch it if you love giant mechas fighting.
The pictures are as follows.
1. Close up detail of Kyrios's face
2. Detailed work of the Space Type Tieren (side profile)
3. Detailed view of LED work and Orange undertone on some of the white pieces
4. Detailed view of Asteroid and Scratches from exploding bits of rock
5. Left side view of Diorama
6. Rear View of Diorama
7. Right side view of Diorama
8. Front View of Diorama
9. Detailed close up of Allelujah Haptism
10. Detailed view of LED work
Thank you for all of the amazing support and all the love from everyone. This competition was pretty awesome if I say so myself. Go follow me on You Tube and Instagram. Keep in mind I don't post much as I like to finish builds before I post them on socials. (Takes quite a while to finish them).
Have a great day and good luck to everyone.

The project is finally coming together. Here are some pics focused on the details, the LED lights and the posing. This build was so much fun and kind of overwhelming at some points. Keeping up with a weekly schedule is not how I do gundam modeling. But here we are. I learned that too.
The finalized pictures will include a black backdrop that will simulate "Floating in Space" feel that I am going for. These pics here are just a sneak peak because I'm so excited to show off my hard work.
Enjoy and keep building. And remember to have some fun

This week I focused on piecing together the Kyrios and wiring the LED lights through the body and limbs. All together I believe I added 11 lights to the Kyrios and 3 to the Tieren. This was a great experience for my first time adding LEDs to a project. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to add more to future projects. The wires connect to one wire in the back and get piped down again through the leg that is attached to the asteroid. The asteroid is the housing for the battery pack (2 AA batteries). It also has a build in button that allows for on / off power control.
In the pics. You can see the sparks that I will be installing to make it look like melted metal is shooting out of the Tieren's chest and back. These will be added in a fun way so stay tuned.
Finally for the end of part one. I added dust and debris being launched into space from where the mobile suits are colliding with the asteroids. I hope this adds just a touch more to the story of my build.

This week I focused on installing the LED light in the gun. It was important to find out how to route the wires through the body and then the hand and wrist. All in all. I think I did a great job hiding the Wires. I also glued the scope in place. It originally was able to compress into the body for the transformation gimmick. It was glued to keep it from moving as well as to help protect the wires inside.
I also focused on finishing the paint job and details. This includes the tiny Pilot figures. This kit included a standing figure and seated one as you can see in the picture. Holding my breath, a loose grip, steady hand holds and no fear comes in handy while painting the small details on these guys. Filling my brush with paint and wiping most of it off on my latex glove also helps for those thin white lines. What's crazy is that the seated pilot sits in the chest of the gundam and wont be visible unless I open the cockpit hatch. Since I'm not going to open it. My work will remain hidden. So enjoy it in this picture. haha
For this build and the Gundam 00 project I have going forward I wanted to add a special artistic choice to some of the pieces. As you can see on the white pieces. There is a subtle orange undertone. This was accomplished by painting orange underneath and a slight cover up of white was placed on top and around the edges. Each gundam in this build series will incorporate a color specific to that gundam. Since orange is the distinctive color with this gundam's color scheme I added the orange undertone.
Taking the final pictures for this build is hard because I have to capture the brightness of the orange but also the muteness of the orange under the white. I must learn how to do this. Any advice is welcome as I am having problems with making the picture bright enough to see details but soft enough to see the orange undertone. As far as I know. Gaahleri does not wanting us changing the warmness and tint of the final pictures. Guess I have something else to learn for this build.

This week. I'm am deep into choosing the main colors for the Kyrios. I wanted to keep it simple. Instead of mixing up a lot of custom colors. I chose colors straight from the bottles. This meant that I lined up all the similar colors and chose the one that worked best for the kit. Kaleido has a lot of yellows for example. I lined them all up and chose the one that worked for me.
One custom color was made however. I mixed up the metallic orange. 75% Lustrous Orange & 25% Magma Orange. Either one by itself was either too yellow or too red. So I had to mix it up a bit.
I made one artistic change from my original plan. Originally I planed to make the orange pieces Candy Orange. However, I changed it to a metallic orange. While practicing the candy effect on some spoons I found out that it was coming out as a brown orange candy effect. I wanted a brighter orange, more yellow and red. So I broke out the auto colors and got to work. I think this finalized choice will suit my overall goal for this project. RIP CANDY PAINTJOB
Lastly. On some of the white pieces. You can notice a subtle orange poking through. I masked some details off and sprayed a matt orange on them. Then I went over it with a matt white. I like this effect and can't wait to see it on the finalized build.
Good luck out there with your builds and have some fun.

This week I focused on getting all the recessed details painted. Next week I will be masking. Hopefully then I will be able to tackle all the main colors at once. I've been using the Mobius 0.3 because this suit will be painted differently than the first. Different manufacturer and all. The Kyrios will have a color scheme of almost all solid colors. Meaning not much shading work. A few detail pieces have been littered throughout as well. This paint job will be slow. But very worth it.
The last three pictures showcase the LED lights I installed into the Tieren

Finally got this guy up on his support and soldered the wires. Then I pinned his left leg to keep it from rotating. It was drooping down to the base. One pin later and he looks the way I envisioned

This model that I painted in college (2009) will be my inspiration for Kyrio's paint job. It has a candy orange on all the orange pieces, the white armor has a subtle shade of orange underneath and it is slightly damaged and scratched up.
In college I saw a blog post about a cockpit hatch that had a candy red paint job that looked amazing. It also had a huge scratch that showed the metal underneath. I found it fascinating that such a beautiful piece could be damaged in such an awesome way. That damage only added to the effect of the candy paint that took it from awesome to amazing.
One of the ways I am going to focus on growing during this build is to change how I did the orange undertone of the white pieces. Instead of doing every white piece in this manner. I will handpick only some pieces to show off this effect. I think doing the whole kit in this way would only take away from its presentation.

Despite not wanting to for the longest time. The diorama finally got it's time to shine. Just in "time" for securing the first mobile suit to the supports. The Tieren will be put into place and the wires for the lights will be piped down the support beam and soldered into place.
This is my first time doing that. So wish me luck!

From where this project started to where it is now. My mind is blown that I was able to transform this Ground Type Tieren into the Space Type Tieren. Since this model in the 1/100th scale does not exist. I had to Scratch Build it into existence. I am over the moon with how it came out.
Do you have a particular skill you've learned that you are very proud of? All comments welcome.
