this piece was a bit of a rush.. since i joined GWCC about a month late into the competition.. last week was the final push to get everything varnished and put together to match the previous submission date.. but with all that, i’m really glad with how it turned out! not too shabby.. not too shabby! 🥹
thank you everyone for all the likes and kind words throughout this whole journey— it’s been so much fun seeing everyone’s amazing work along the way.
i’m glad to be part of a community bigger than just myself ..a chance to share my build with so many talented people.. and thank you to Gaahleri for the space and experiences! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
shot on my iphone 17.. the best option i got 😭

couldn’t post last week’s update because i couldn’t access the gwcc website (maybe it was down? i don’t know T-T), so i ended up missing a week of update
but here’s my progress from last week!
i’ll also post this week progress soon! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

finally starting to color! using kaleido colorworks for the first time for most of the base colors
i love how easy they are to use right out of the bottle. they spray so nicely, and the colors are beautiful.
especially this couch color… i’m in love~! it’s k015 violet, but it almost looks like a muted blue. i’ve been eyeing this color ever since i started pre-drafting the color scheme, so i’m happy to finally use it. (˶ˆᗜˆ˵)

finally got to priming.. did 2–3 rounds of priming, going back and forth between sanding and fixing the surface in between.
and somehow i found a way to use the couch’s print drain hole as the perfect accidental parts holder during the process (,; ⩌ ;,) as i was running out of space while priming.

did a bit of a coloring guide for future reference, a final test fitting + cleaning , and now it’s finally time to get all the parts ready for priming
