I hope all your hard work pays off nicely! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝ I found it easier to sand the surface first and then prime it. Of course, it won't be completely smooth after the first round, but once you apply the primer, you can literally see exactly where you need more sanding. The primer also helps smooth out some of the smaller imperfections. Then I sand it a second time, prime it again, and just keep repeating the process until I get a smooth surface. Usually, it takes me around two or three rounds of sanding and priming. Unless the surface has a lot of imperfections and needs an extra round, two/three rounds are usually enough to fix pretty much everything and get a nice smooth surface.

@reza thank you, reza! i hope so too! all my projects are kinda like that… just like you said. 😭 the process is pretty time consuming priming, sanding, then priming again, over and over until it finally starts coming together. honestly, that first batch of primer is always my fun little exam to see if i actually did a good job or not lol..

@pocketpokko Yeah, I know, it's actually pretty time-consuming. 😔 Later, if you can, try to get the NeoSander Detail Sander from HOZO. The NeoSander Premium Combo is a reciprocating detail sander with 64 color-coded sanding heads. It'll make the sanding process much easier. You'll still need to do some manual sanding for sure, but it should help a lot : )

@reza i’ve been wanting the one you mentioned because it can double as a mini saw too! definitely on my wishlist! i’m in a bit of a pickle at the moment, but hopefully i’ll be able to get my hands on one in the future! how do you like it? i’m assuming you own one? thanks for recommendation!

Oh my! All the reconstruction. Looking amazing, though. That print is gonna look super smooth. There are products there that I have never seen before. Question, how is the shelf life for them? I use some of them a bit sparingly and I find that when I need to use them again they are dry as a bone.
