Had to paint first layer of paint, and because I am no longer trying to achieve something, I decided to experiment a little with colouring.

Made up a diorama, which I unfortunately had to scale down cause I feel losing of sense for work on this project and cause a am running out of space for all my models. So from roughly A3 I went to A5 dimensions and decided to keep the fun as I don't see much of a chance of winning while also working on project above my average abilities.

Started to paint, with some preshading, and then started to paint. Had to mix the blue shade from Vallejo intermediate blue, because it was to gray for my liking, and AK flat blue. Then I lightened it with some blue grey from AK as well. Then I applied some white sticky stuff and tape for masking and painted with Vallejo military green, post shades with some German bright green from Vallejo as well. But then I took off the masking and with that a lot of paint came off as well. Have to say I am not so pleased wit mr.color primer. Will have to find a way to solve this issue.

Gott to priming phase, and used me. Colour for once to try out new both. I usually work with green stuff primer. And it worked great. Except some thought texture, which was my mistake I had to sand down. But other wise nice work. Then I repaired some holes visible after the priming. One wing seem, one on fuselage and one on the wrongly cut hole. Think I did and okay job.

After finishing cockpit, I was able to finally start working on the body of the aircraft. Did the usual stuff, added wings, joined fuselage and other. The kit fitted together really nicely. Then I also completed the main engine parts, so I could get some idea of the final look, and man it was an experience. First time working on resin to such an extend (did brassin cockpit for mig 29 in past, but I am not that proud of that one) pretty happy with it finally put together. Then I worked on flaps, which were fine (only on one side, I am planning on showing the final model with different parts opened and closed to show variety) but I misunderstood instruction, and it took my a while to figure out I am supposed to grind away substantial amount of plastic to fit them in. No worry happy with final result, but what can I do about it. Will remember next time. And then the machine gun bay. I did a big mistake with taking the wrong wing and cutting out a hole for the bay. Only later I found out I did it on the wrong side. So had to do it again (better this time) and then did some repair work on the first cut. Will se how it will look under primer and probably will do more repairs (more filling and riveting).

Used some chipping fluid to show underlayer of aluminium in preparation for more painting of the cockpit. Not extremely happy, but I just broke my airbrush and worked for first time with chipping fluid semi successfuly, so it has to do.

First time adding wires and soldering as super glue didn't cut it.

Decided to change project, as my previous idea was in grey ground with rules of the contes and division of categories. I recently won and action of spitfire, so I decided to use it instead. Also bought some Big E set additionally for more fun and as a new experience. Already started to work on the interior, but unfortunately I broke of small part of resin part when solving fitting issues. Learned how brittle resin can be.

Using and learning thermocutter for the first time (a lot harder then I thought).
Also glued some pieces for basis of Tokyo 3 building.
And lastly I started the restoration of old Leo 2 by simmering overnight in IPO to strip it of paint with old toothbrush.
