Resourceful Miniatures

Reading Conn Iggulden's Emperor series was the main inspiration for picking this as my project. This is my first bust and I learned a lot from it. Although I dont expect to win, I'm happy with how the different materials came out having different finishes from one another. So in the end it was a good learning experience.

Should have finished this project a month ago...

Seems liquid mask peels off inks. Will have to retouch the gold and leather but ill call the fabrics done for now. Need to practice more airbrush in the future.

Added another layer of texture, this time using liner brushes which made the process much faster, floowed by another red filer. This time I went for different finishes of reds in the cloth and feathers, much better.

Blended the texture on the cloth and feathers with some airbrushing, next step is to repeat it again to add even more detail. Afterwards comes the ever elusive face...

Next time i'll do some work on the face

Still have to add another layer on the cloth before I blend everything together and stablish lights and shadowws through tones

From here on it going to be a lot of brush work and going brighter while adding textures, might do some airbrushing in the middle for blending but no easy steps left, juts gotta sit down for hours and start the real work

Didnt get much time to work this week, but I think the model is ready to add some tones through the airbrush making use of some liquid mask I got.

Metal is 90% there, gold still needs a boost to the shadows. Next week I'll make some meaningful porgress on the red and the leather.
