I forgot to mention the grit's I would use. I use 180 for 1/12 and up, 220/180 for 1/24 & 1/32, 240+ for smaller scales Hope this helps , try on old scrap tires for practice.

Hi just like any rubber tire the way to loose the seams is to wear them down on a gravel road . Put tires on rim (unpainted ) place on Dremel (or similar ) and turn on on about slowest speed . Then take hard sanding block and use as a road surface till lines gone . No need to be agressive with pressure just let them weare off slowly. Usually only a couple of min. needed. Hope this helps.
