#9 - Removing orange peel!

After the 2K clear coats were left drying for 3 days, it was time to start getting the surface smooth and remove the orange peel!

For this, I used the 3M Trizact sanding sponges. First removing all imperfections with the 3000 grit, and then smoothing this out with a 5000 grit.

How gentle do you have to be to avoid stripping off the clear?

@Kodiak I try to be as gentle as possible, not making pressure on the sanding sponge and letting it do the work. I also use soapy water and check every few seconds by removing the water. To be sure I stop as soon as the orange peel is gone. Hope that helps 👍🏼
