Hey everyone, time for a quick Update #4! The weather was great today so I finally decided to dive straight into the painting phase. Unfortunately my professional spray booth suffered a major breakdown and the exhaust fan completely stopped pulling air. However since this model is so massive and I really need to stay on track to finish it in time I simply could not afford to wait around. I had to improvise so my temporary spray booth is literally a cardboard box set up on my table and cutting mat which looks pretty funny but actually gets the job done. I am using cellulose lacquer paints for this project so wearing a proper protective mask and taking all necessary safety precautions is an absolute must. I spent the entire day painting from noon until dusk utilizing my Gaahleri GHAD-39 airbrush which continues to perform incredibly well. I focused entirely on spraying the first metallic elements during this long session. This is just a quick teaser for now but in the very next post I will show you exactly what I painted and how it all turned out. Stay tuned!
