almost finished, but something's missing...

Today was a bad day, various problems, someone decided to break a piece of the base while it was out drying, I had to repair it and start again... I'm moving forward, I think I'm now 90% of the way done, but still missing that special spark, but I can't get it right 🥲 opinions?

Beautiful piece, the flowers ROCK! The painting overall is beautiful. Looks like a sculpture of olden times. It may not be vibrant but there is something to be said about the muted tones.

@firelily022 Thank you so much Lil! I just posted a quick video of the final result, I finally managed to get exactly what I wanted! And I did it not by adding more details, but... by toning down the paint even more xD

@Cristian Carlone Hey! Thanks a million for the kind words! As for that part—some idiot... well, I’d left the clear resin piece out in the sun to cure better, and—wouldn't you know it—someone decided they didn't like it and tossed it on the ground... I had to patch it up as best I could :( Regarding the base: I can't post videos, but the tonal values are actually quite different; the base is much darker and cooler. My phone camera tends to flatten everything out when I take a shot—damn it! -.- The only thing that comes to mind is maybe creating a bit more cool/warm contrast, but I’ve already applied so many blue and purple glazes that I’d hate to ruin the whole thing.
