While other parts of the restoration are still in progress, today I started working on one of the most challenging features of this project: the Bugatti Veyron lighting system.

These are the first experiments and prototypes for developing a fully controlled headlight system. The goal is not just to add LEDs, but to recreate the behavior of real automotive lighting on a 1:18 scale model.

To understand the scale and proportions better, I used my handmade desk-scale GT-R R34 model as a reference. This little model, built by myself in approximately 1:64 scale, helped me realize just how challenging it is to create a fully functional lighting system even compared to a much smaller scale model.

A lot of testing, engineering and tiny details are ahead, but this is exactly the kind of challenge that makes this project special.

One more step closer to getting the Veyron back on its wheels.
