400Z Liberty Walk - Update #3: 3D Printing the Body kit

After a couple of attempts, I finally managed to 3D print the Liberty Walk body kit in ABS-Like resin. In the first 2 attempts I seemed to have problems with the supports, so I reconfigured all the parts again paying special attention to the supports structure.

Lastly I processed all the parts and layed them down on the table 😊

As many modelers will know, resin parts aren’t the most accurate and making them fit perfectly in the model can be a pain. Next step will be to fine tune the parts to achieve the smoothest fit possible.

@KarlScaleModeling It's my first time installing a resin body kit, so let's see how it goes :)

Another real pain is getting rid of all those 3D printing layer lines and making the surface smooth. Good luck, and looking forward to seeing more updates once all the parts are fitted!

@ICR Workshop You're right! Those layer lines are challenging and a patience killer. However, since I am really aware of that, I normally print the parts with 0.02 mm layer height and the surface become smoother. Not perfect, but much easier to work with. I'm glad you're following the process!! I'm also hooked by your project!
