Restoring & Customizing a Bugatti Veyron | My GWCC 2026 Project
My GWCC 2026 project begins.
I will restore and customize a 1:18 AUTOart Bugatti Veyron, including body restoration, custom paint, engine detailing, interior and chassis work, and a cinematic final diorama presentation.
This intro sets the mood for the full build journey.

Thank you! That’s exactly the cinematic vibe I want to keep throughout the whole project. I also build plastic kits, but for this competition I wanted to try something different and a bit unusual. My goal is to show that customizing and restoring a diecast model can be just as exciting, challenging, and creative as building a kit from scratch.

Thank you! 🙏 The model already needed restoration when I got it, but I added the weathering and diorama to set the atmosphere for the project and tell the story of a forgotten Bugatti. Now the actual project begins: restoring and customizing this 1:18 AUTOart Bugatti Veyron with custom paint, engine detailing, interior work, chassis work and a final presentation.
