Project Summary

The goal is to capture the quiet, spiritual essence of Byston Well by placing the Bellvine at the center of a peaceful forest diorama, perfectly matching the project's title. Once the model is painted, the focus shifts to building the detailed, overgrown forest environment around it. By centering the character in this quiet scenery, the final display will feel less like a traditional mecha showcase and more like a living snapshot of Byston Well itself.

Final Submission - When the Will to Fight Withers

The build is more or less finished. It turned out quite different from what I originally envisioned, as I ended up following my intuition as the project evolved.

To match the title, I wanted Belvine to look long-abandoned in a forest, so I added overgrown moss and vegetation around the carapace. I also built a ruined structure covered in plants to emphasize that the battle ended a long time ago.

I’m especially proud of the color blending on the wings and the aura converter—the transition between blue and violet came out really smooth.

To create a peaceful, calm scenery, I incorporated a lot of greenery and a large tree, which took a substantial amount of effort to build due to its scale.

Instead of mounting the sword on its back as the manual instructs, I placed it on the ground next to the unit and gave it a heavily weathered finish to show it hasn't been touched in years.

Week 7 Update

So I painted these artificial plants I bought from Amazon into same green so it feels less like a toy.

I also finally painted the chest plate and the sword because I wasn't sure which color I wanted to go with.

I also had a spontaneous idea to display the sword on the ground instead of mounting it

More detail works are about to be done in next few days

I bought some of these artificial plants from Amazon, but they do look terrible. I will paint them with better color next days so they fit better with the diorama
