Sepecat Jaguar - Cockpit glass update.

One thing was bothering me, Jaguar canopy has very interesting details. As I wanted to show aircraft with open canopy I decided to design, print and add those details to the model.

    Just look at the size of that cockpit… you need a microscope to work on something like that! 🔍

      @javiercalvojccreaciones3d yeah.. I’m using hobby glasses. Without it it’s just color spots for me(

    Amazing detail there mate, what software did you use to model it?

      @ejbscaleart thanks! I have a background as a 3D artist, my primary soft is 3dsMax. But of course now it used only by dinosaurs like me

    Great work! I don't think it was easy to design it to the right size so that the clear part of the kit would fit, was it?

      @bughunter thanks! Yep, it was actually a pain) I did 5 iteration of printing until I achieved needed shape.

    @powercube thanks!

    @cristiancarlone yep, that is true. It is not always worth the time, I would leave it only to some ambitious projects. To much time and resources spent to achieve needs shape. And if you want to do it faster (the right way) you need a 3d scanner which costs around 1k..

      @oleksandrgalevskyi, wow, I did not know stuff could cost that much. I’m very old school and do scratch build, when needed, understanding that is’s not as good and neat as a 3D printing.

      @cristiancarlone yeah, it depends. For example, if you want to scan landing gears you will need costly one. I guess to scan fuselage or wings there more afordable solutions. I also do scratchbuilds but not so ambitiously. Some hydraulics, some cockpit details but nothing to complex. But I realy amazed by the modelers who can scrathbuild half of jet engine!

      @oleksandrgalevskyi, So far I never scratch build an engine, but smaller parts. Still fun. Thank you for the insights. Ciao!
