Wow, week 10 already. Time is flying with this contest. This week I got started on the little alien dude's harness and backpack. I wanted to have a military look to it so I chose the typical green for the fabric/padded parts. This was done using a base of Kaleido Artillery Green which was then shaded with a 50/50 mix of artillery Green and Translucent Clear Amber. Then to pick out the little hexagon texture that is sculpted into the surface I lightly drybrushed some Kaleido Buff over the top. I also painted some silver parts using Darkstar miniature paints Pewter. The straps that go around him were just Kaleido black primer with some of the Pewter lightly brushed on the corners and raised areas to look like chipped paint and scratches on the metal buckles.
