Week 12. "Isn't this fun? ALLELUJAH!!!"

During week 12. I tackled most of the paintjob for the Space Type Tieren. Using the full line of Kaleido paints I got to work. I started with a gray primer that I applied a couple weeks ago. Then I added a solid base coat. Usually darker then what I want the final product to look like. A lighter color is mixed up and then sprayed in the center of the pieces. Think reverse pre shade. This is the highlight layer and I sprayed it where I thought the light from the piercing blade would be hitting the pieces. Then I chose a slightly darker color than the last and did the same thing but where the light was not hitting.

The clear piece I used for the blade was sprayed with a couple clear colors and finished with an effect of melting metal. To be honest. This is my first attempt at melting metal. It could have come out better. But I am a little rushed to get this suit done. In the future, I can really perfect this technique.

I painted the blade with clear colors to give the blade color for when the LEDs are off or when direct light is hitting the blade and dulling the glow of the LEDs. When they are on. It's pretty cool looking and plays through the hot glue that I added for the melted metal bulge.

A little more time next week will have to be spent on finishing this guy. Hopefully I'll have some pictures of him fully done and looking good. Then it's onto the Kyrios. This is the suit I've been waiting for. It's going to be a fun paint job.

PS. I use markers and enamels for panel lining. As seen in the last picture. I use old water slide decals from suits I've finished to give the Tieren a little more life. Since the suit doesn't come with any decals I thought he would look good with simple caution markings and similar decals. Have fun building out there.

No specific options , just imagine if you only had , say black or white. That's what I mean.

@gekoch I love to have some choices while modeling. Which options are you referring to?
