Caballo del Diablo paint update
Finally finished with body work and got the first layers of paint down! This week I will be working on decals and doing a little more painting. I went with cosmic red from Tropical Glitz. This is a beautiful color and super hard to capture in a photo.

OMAR FRANCIA59 days agoThat's an amazing candy painting. Question, how many layers of the clear color you used, and how many layers of clear coat after that, to make it so shiny? Also, are you using water based or lacquers?

@omarfrancia it’s a lacquer paint. I laid a gray Mr hobby primer and then shot it with the cosmic red. Maybe 4 light coats and the clear is just one coat of thinned Tamiya clear. After decals are finished I’ll hit it with a 2k clear
